Chocolate Nut Banana Bread
Ingredients
- 2 1/2 cups flour
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1 T baking powder
- 3/4 t salt
- 1/4 t cinnamon
- 1 cup mashed ripe banana, approx. 2 large bananas
- 1 cup milk
- 3/4 NATURAL CRUNCH SunButter®
- 3 T cooking oil
- 1 t vanilla
- 1 egg, slightly beaten
- 1/2 cup milk chocolate chips
- 1/2 cup milk chocolate-covered sunflower kernel
Directions
In a large bowl stir together flour, sugars, baking powder, salt and cinnamon; set aside. In another bowl combine bananas, milk, SunButter®, cooking oil, vanilla and egg. Add to flour mixture, stirring until just combined. Stir in chocolate chips and chocolate-covered sunflower kernel. Pour batter into 2 greased 8x4 loaf pans. Bake at 350° for 50-55 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the middle comes out clean. Cool in pans 10 minutes, remove from pan and cool completely. Frost and serve.
Frosting: Melt 3 T SunButter® and 2 T butter in a small saucepan. Remove from heat and stir in 1 cup powdered sugar, 1 tsp vanilla and 1 T milk. Stir to spreading consistency. Add more milk if needed.
