Sun Blossoms

Ingredients

• 1 3/4 cup flour
• 1/2 t salt
• 1/2 t soda
• 1/2 cup shortening
• 1/2 cup SunButter®
• 1/2 cup sugar
• 1/2 cup brown sugar
• 1 egg, beaten
• 1 t vanilla

Directions

Sift together flour, salt and soda; set aside. Cream together shortening and SunButter®; add sugars. Add egg and vanilla. Blend in dry ingredients. Shape dough into balls using rounded teaspoon. Roll in sugar and place on baking sheet. Bake at 350° for 10 minutes. Top with chocolate candy kisses. Press down and return to oven. Bake 2 to 5 minutes longer or until golden brown.
